We use sophisticated equipment to help detect patterns of vertebral subluxation or problems within your spine. The same part of your nervous system that controls your heart, lungs, stomach and other organs, regulates your skin temperature (your largest organ). By measuring skin temperatures along your spine we can find nervous system disturbances that may affect other vital organs.

Our equipment detects differences as small as a tenth of a degree. Another way to locate vertebral subluxation patterns is by measuring muscle tone. Vertebral subluxations cause supporting muscles of the spine to exhibit unusual electrical activity. Our equipment locates these areas and tells us whether your nerves are causing too much activation within your muscles and promoting spasm or not enough activity and causing your muscles to not support your skeleton well.

The most common procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is spinal manipulation also called a "chiropractic adjustment." The purpose of spinal manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury.

Tissue injury can be caused by a single traumatic event, such as improper lifting of a heavy object, or through repetitive stress, such as sitting in an awkward position with poor spinal posture for an extended period of time staring at a screen. In either case, injured tissues undergo physical and chemical changes that can cause inflammation, pain, and diminished function for the sufferer. Adjustment of the affected joint and tissues restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal.

Chiropractic adjustments rarely causes discomfort however, patients may sometimes experience mild soreness or aching following treatment (as with some forms of exercise) that usually resolves within 12 to 48 hours.

A chiropractic adjustment

Many of our clients have insurance that reimburses poorly for chiropractic care. Because of this, we have designed several packages where adjustments are discounted due to bulk purchasing. These plans are available to individuals and families to share. We also have deeply discounted family plans so that your entire family can afford to receive chiropractic care. We accept HSA, FSA, Venmo, check, cash and credit.

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that concentrates on rearranging deeper tissue layers of the muscles and connective tissues. Reminiscent of Swedish massage, this massage utilizes many of the same movements and techniques though the pressure is usually more. Some of its strokes also resemble classic massage therapy, however, its movements are slow and the pressure is intense on tense areas. Deep tissue massage is especially useful for persistently tense and contracted areas: stiff neck, lower back stiffness and sore shoulders.
